The Giggle Garden Spell. Alice and Freddy were in the garden, very busy doing something extremely important. They were building a mud pie. Mountain Freddy had plopped five daisies on the top. Proudly calling it Mount Daisy Splash. While Alice was carefully creating a moat around it, using an old spoon, she found suddenly poof, a sparkly puff of glittery mist fizzled beside the compost heap. Alice looked up. Did you see that? Freddie blinked? I think the compost just sneezed, out from the mist floated. Two familiar witches on broomsticks. One sipping tea from a fancy cup midair and the other balancing her laundry basket, bursting with mismatched socks. Molly and Mindy. Squealed. Alice. Mindy Broom, well waved and then digging into her laundry basket. Pulled out a yo-yo. She gave it a cheerful whirl. We heard your giggles from the sky and thought that sounds like a day that needs a sprinkle of magic. Molly smiled, brushing cake crumbs off her lap, and I came for a refill of mischief and mud pies. Freddy pointed at their muddy creation. We made Mount Daisy's splash. It's got five daisies and a moat. That's absolutely glorious. Said Mindy. Would you like it to have a sprinkle of something extra? Molly raised an eyebrow. Mindy, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Mindy nodded her head so hard, her pointy hat nearly fell off. Time for a garden Giggle. Spell alice clapped. Yes. Yes, yes. Mindy Winked. It makes everything in the garden a bit more fun. You know, molly pulled out her wand and flicked it once in the air. They chanted together. Wiggle, waggle, daisy twiddle, make the flowers dance and giggle. The sunflowers began to wobble like jelly. The gnomes started skipping in his circle, Freddy's wellies, giggled, and ran off by themselves with a joyful squelch. My shoes, he shouted. Hopping around on one foot. Quick shouted Mendy. Catch the giggle bubbles before they pop. Rainbow bubbles floated in the air. Each one making a silly noise when popped. Like hoof and blip and one that yelled banana biscuit. Even the clouds looked like they were chuckling, but then one bubble didn't pop. It got bigger and bigger molly squinted. If it fills up with too many giggles, the whole garden might turn to jelly. Mindy gasped. Oops. I might have used too strong a spell again. I keep doing that today. Alice pointed. It's heading for the bird bath. The bubble bunked off the bird bath. The bird bath jiggled, then the grass jiggled. Then everything trees, tools, even the shed turned into wibbly, wobbly, bright red jelly wobble. Alert, Freddy shouted, hugging a squishy tree. We need to un giggle it. Molly cried before the tomato plants turn into tomato jelly. Mindy rummaged through her basket. Where's the un giggler? I put it somewhere between my book and my cake tin. She pulled out a slinky, a trumpet, a bag of marbles, and finally a tiny jam jar. This will do. It's full of old giggles from last Tuesday. Molly nodded. Alice Freddy. Hold hands and say this with us. Together they chanted, jiggly, giggly jelly began back to stillness by the lawn. The jam jar glowed the big bubble, led out a hiccup the gnomes froze mid skip. The trees stopped wiggling. Freddy's Wellies landed in front of him with a flop and a final, he, he, we did it. Alice cheered. Mindy opened the jam jar with a pop and a little giggle, dust puffed back in, all tucked in no more jelly mishaps. Today Molly floated gently to the ground. Her teacup still perfectly full picnic. Anyone. It's so important to make time for a nice break on warm days. She pulled a tiny table from her basket and set out four little cups and saucers white with a blue flower decoration on them. Then with a smile, she placed a small plate of crumbly lemon biscuits in the middle. Her teapot wobbled in the air and gave a steamy puff. Too hot for tea today. Said Molly kindly to the teapot. She tapped it twice with her wand. Let's turn this into something cold and yummy, she said with an excited smile with a gentle hum. The teapot tipped itself over each cup pouring perfectly chilled, fizzy apple juice into all four cups. Freddy took a sip and beamed. This is the best apple juice ever. Alice giggled. You are brilliant. Molly Bruel. Just then a sleepy breeze drifted through the garden. The sunflowers gave a big Petly yawn. Even the garden gnomes looked ready for a nap. Well said. Molly. Stretching. It's time for us to float on home. Let's mendy agreed. Accidentally hopping on her broom backwards. Oops. Tail first again. With one last giggle and a swirl of sparkles, the broom, well, sisters zoomed into the sky, their broom zigzagging like sleepy kites. Time to come in. Dinner's ready? Mum called from the back door. Freddy side. Think. Momo. Believe what just happened. Nope, said Alice, but maybe we can savor some wibbly wobbly jelly next time. They both giggled and ran inside the garden. Quiet once more until the next magical visit. The end.
