The wiggly wand. It was a windy afternoon, inside. Allison Freddy were hard at work building a super twisty maze in their living room, they used cushions, blankets, and a long gymnastics mat to make snakey tunnels and bendy corners. It looked like a cozy labyrinth made entirely of soft things. Tunnels going left. Lead to monkey mountain. Freddy whispered, crawling in on all fours. No, no tunnels going left lead to the secret cake cave. Alice called back. Freddie burst out from the other side of the maze with a triumphant grin look what I just found. He shouted, eyes popping wide like marbles. Alice scrambled over and stared in Freddy's hand was a long twirly glowing magic wand. Is that a worm? Alice asked Freddy Squinted. No, it's a wand, a very wiggly wand. I've never seen it before. Just then click came. A tiny sound from behind the bookshelf, A thin curl of steam puffed out from the golden edge door. That hadn't been there a second ago. Alice's eyes sparkled. She's back. They flung the door open inside the sparkly staircase. Swirled like usual, but upside down. It stretched upwards or downwards or possibly sideways glowing like starlight before either of them could ask any questions, the floor beneath their feet whooshed away, and they gently floated downward or upward. It was very confusing. Onto the ceiling of Molly Broom Well's kitchen. Molly Bromwell, the kind and slightly chaotic witch, was currently dangling upside down, holding a teacup in one hand and a teapot in the other. Trying to pour tea without spilling it on her nose. Oh, starlings. Thank goodness it's you. She cried. Something's gone. Terribly twisty. Freddy held up. The strange item is this thing. Yours, molly gasped my experimental wand. I lost it weeks ago. It's meant to organize things, fold towels, lineup, spoons, that kind of thing. But Alice asked, raising an eyebrow, Molly's side, it doesn't like being told what to do. It has very strong opinions. The wand gave a happy zing and shot outta Freddy's hand like a fizzy snake. It zipped around Molly's kitchen, knocking over a jug of milk that went splash across the floor. Molly's cat licked it all up. Purring loudly. Oh dear Molly mushed as a teacup sword past her ear. This is definitely a job for my sister Mendy. Moments later, Molly, Alice and Freddy were buckled into a magical contraption known as the armchair bicycle. It had three comfy armchair side by side, each with pedals and little tass on the arms as they pedaled together. The whole bike lifted into the air like a gentle hovercraft, and loop the loop into the clouds. The wiggly darted after them like a hyper spaghetti noodle zigzagging through silver swirls and stardust. They flew over rooftops and sleepy forests until they reached a hill with a cottage on top. They landed softly in Mindy Bro's Garden right beside the rosebush. Mandy Molly called knocking on her front door. Mindy came to the door wearing a purple cape and a hat that leaned slightly to the left. Her glasses were taped together with glittery ribbon, and her hair was tied up with a measuring tape. Well, hello, Molly, she said with a calm smile. I see you've brought guests. Welcome back, Freddy and Alice. Molly nodded. It's the wiggly wand. It got away from me again. Mendy appeared at the wand, which was now hiding behind a hanging basket full of wiggles. I see. Let's bring it inside. They all poured into Mandy's kitchen, and she gently placed the wiggly wand on the kitchen table fixing something wiggly. She said wisely. Takes three things, a little love, a little patience, and a lot of marmalade. Remember from last time, they all nodded. she cut up a loaf of bread into thick slices. And covered each slice in a thick layer of sticky golden marmalade. She passed them each a slice as they munched Mendy hummed a tune, tapping the wand with her fingers and sprinkled a pinch of cinnamon into the air. After a few magical murmurs, she gave her own wand, a firm thick ping. The wiggly wand twirled, glowed and stopped wiggling. It floated back onto the table and lay perfectly Still fixed, Mendy said with a twinkle in her eye. Let's have cocoa. Molly cheered, and soon marshmallows were wobbling in cups and the cottage filled with chocolatey joy. As the stars began twinkling outside, it was time to go, they climbed back into the armchair bicycle, wrapped in warm blankets, and soared back through the sky. The one stayed safely tucked into Alice's lap, but gave one little wiggle just for fun. Back in the living room, Alice and Freddy showed Molly their amazing maze. Molly climbed in too and poured them all a cup of tea. You've met my sister now. She said softly. And remember, even the Wigg AST problems can be fixed with love, patience, and marmalade. Molly placed the wand on the living room table with a little note that read Wand. Resting Children Brilliant T Tomorrow. Alice and Freddy looked at each other and grinned more adventures. Oh, yes. They were just getting started. The end.
