Hey there friends. Welcome to Kids Story Portal, a cozy place where imagination runs wild here, ordinary things turn into big adventures. So get comfy because the story begins right now. The cardboard box adventure, it started with a refrigerator, a big shiny one with an ice maker that made tiny snowballs. It was delivered early that morning and now the enormous cardboard box it came in was sitting in the middle of the living room like a fort waiting to happen. Alice walked around it in slow circles. Her mom said, we'll recycle it tomorrow. Her dad said It's just a box. But Alice had a different idea. She grabbed her book, the one about magical forests and talking animals, and her sparkling unicorn snuggle and crawled inside. It was darker than she expected and much bigger too. She flopped down with a cozy pillow and opened her book. Rain tapped against the windows inside. Alice was warm and quiet until a chewy Alice blinked. Wow, that was a big sneeze. She sniffled then pop. Snuggle the unicorn saddle beside her in the box, blinking her glittery eyes and wiggling her little hooves book time or adventure time, Snuggle asked. in her tiny little voice, alice stared. Wait, you're awake. In the daytime you sneezed. Said snuggle. Daytime sneezes are rare. They activate emergency adventure mode. Before Alice could say anything else, the cardboard under them, rumbled The box, shook, rattle, whoosh, plump. Alice Clutched snuggle as the box taped backwards and began sliding down, down, down, like it had turned into the world's biggest sled. When it finally stopped, everything was quiet. Alice peeked out of the flap. Whoa, she whispered. They weren't in the living room anymore. Birds with wings crafted from colorful scraps of paper and twine flew playfully overhead in the distance stud. A grand castle built from towering stacks of cardboard boxes. Its flags made of crinkled wrapping paper. Alice stepped out of the box. Where are we? Snuggle tossed her main. Let's go find out as they walked. A loud crash echoed nearby. A blur of wings and glitter tumbled out of the sky. Thump. Oopsie said the blur sitting up. It was a tiny fairy with sparkly wings tangled in tinsel. I'm moon fly fairy fern. You must be the adventurers. We are now said Alice, helping untangle the fairy wings. Moon fly, pointed to a crooked tower, way off in the distance. The queen of boxes is stuck at the top of the toppling tower. No one can get her down. We can said snuggle, who had somehow acquired a sparkly plastic spoon and was now waving it around to the tower. So off they went. Alice Snuggle and Moon fly on their big cardboard mission. First they crossed the Crinkly Creek, a bubbly river made of shredded packing paper. A snuggle built a bridge from Popsicle sticks while Moonlight sang a marching s song that didn't rhyme and had too many oopses in it. Next they wandered into the sticky tape forest where every tree was covered in clear, stretchy tape that grabbed at their socks. Moonlight got stuck three times. Alice got stuck twice and snuggle accidentally taped her horn to her ear, but eventually they made it through. Then came this soggy snack swamp guarded by a clever dog wearing a rain hat. I'm Mr. Sniffer Tin. He said with a bow password please. Is it cardboard guest, Alice? Nope. Said Mr. Sniffer tin wagging his tail please. Guest Nole. Correct. He barked happily. Go on through. They squished through puddles of gooey crackers and banana peels until they reached the base of the toppling tower, which was leaning very suspiciously to the left. Time is tick toing, moonlight, yelped flying in nervous loops. The queen is in a cereal box up at the top. Let's go Sid Snuggle. The inside of the tower was a maze of shoebox staircases and tissue tunnels. They climbed carefully balancing across peanut butter jar lids and leaping over towers of stacked soup cans. At the top, they found the queen. A tiny hamster wearing a pipe cleaner crown and sitting on a cardboard throne. I knew you'd come. She's greeked, but the tower's about to topple Suddenly creek the whole tower wobbled. Alice scooped up the queen snuggle grabbed Alice Moonies spun around for flare and the entire top of the tower began to plump, they all slid down the side of the tower on a giant ramp made from a flattened pizza box, screaming and laughing the whole way. They landed in a soft pile of crumpled receipts. A cheer went up from the kingdom. The sticker knight clapped the folded paper animals danced the queen squeaked. You saved me. You may return home as official heroes of the kingdom, but how do we get home? Alice asked. Easy said snuggle. We just need another sneeze. Moonlight twirled her sparkly wand and poofed some glitter dust in the air. Alice wrinkled her nose, ah, chewy and in a flash, they were back in the cardboard box. Everything was quiet. Apart from the rain, still tapping on the living room window. The book was still beside her, and snuggle was once again a soft little unicorn toy sitting on her lap. Alice looked around the box looked mostly the same, but now there was glitter in the corners and taped to the side of the box was a crumpled note that said. Queen rescued. Great job, heroes. PS next time, bring snacks from Moon Fly. Very fern. Alice smiled. She hugged, snuggled, close and whispered. Best reading spot ever. And from that day on, whenever a big box appeared in the house, Alice knew it was never just a box, it was a doorway, an invitation to go on a brilliant adventure. The end.
